I Fondue.......Do You?

Chocolate Caramel Pecan Fondue with Dippers of Mini-mallows, Walkers Shortbread Fingers, Butter Waffle Cookies, Meringues, Pineapple, Strawberries, Pretzel Rods, and last but not least Amaretti.

I have two of these Cuisinart stainless fondue pots. They were birthday gifts from my husband and parents a couple of years back. I really got into fondue after visiting the Melting Pot about 4 years ago. It is a blast to go there. I have recreated the whole experience at home.......the cheese course, the meat course in grapeseed oil and then the dessert course. Doing all 3 is an EXTREME amount of work. I mostly just stick w/the cheese or dessert course. They are very simple and quick to put together. Anyway........these are the pictures of the fondue we had while entertaining our friends from OH the week of Easter. I hope they make you drool as much as they do me!

I think we are twins separated at birth! I love to fondue too! I got the same fondue pot for Xmas a few years ago, and I looove The Melting Pot! We have one about 10 minutes away. Wait a minute....where are the Nutter Butters!?!?

We should co-host a fondue event!

I have never fondude!! We have a friend who owns a chocolate company though and it sure is fun to go to his parties. He has a huge chocolate fountain with every dipping thing you can imagine :)

I worked at the melting pot for about a year. It was fun at first, and I loved to treat myself to a meal there. It was difficult enough to do with all the set up that we had...I cannot imagine putting that together at home! YOu, go girl!!
I love visiting this site...it feels like I just dropped by the bakery in a sweet town. Have you seen Chocolat?

What goes around-keeps going around. We were fonduing when we married 35 years ago. I acually gave away a really old fondue pot that I had from that time period when I cleaned out. Burnt orange & black!

Sticky~I can still see the scar, LOL.
I used to have a Melting Pot about 5 min. from the house, when I was in omaha, no melting pot in little rock.
Nutter butters sound great...in fact, I have not even seen nutter butters in the store since I left NE.

Recipe~you have to get a fondue pot. It is a lot of fun w/family and friends.

K~Have not seen Chocolat...foreign film, right??? I really despise reading subtitles, but maybe I would make an exception for Chocolat hehehehe.

Lora~black/orange...perhaps you should have saved it for Halloween hehehe.

Hey Obsessed...
Chocolat is set in France...but it's not foreign. NO sub-titles. Rent it, you will love it!

We have a tradition of fondue on New Years Day! It's so much work, I can only stand it one day a year, so I do it on January 1st, and get it over with! My kids love it -- we do beef and tempura shrimp (in oil - so good, but what a mess!), all the fun sauces, then chocolate fondue with all the awesome dunkers. I've never heard of nutter butters, but what's not to like, right?! Yum!

Simply~you and me both....i could do cheese fondue every week.

Leah~it is sooo much work (the oil), I have done it once. I would rather go to melting pot for that one! My favorite are the stuft mushroom caps dipped in tempura and then fried....oooohlala

Are you still in 1 piece after all the bad weather?

Lora~yeah, our sirens have been going off etc. Doesn't bother me. We always had tornados in PA. I actually love the storms (of course until I get blown away...then it won't be cool). Did you guys get the same???
