By George I Think I've Found It!
Image "courtesy" of Starbucks
Our oldest son works at Starbucks and he loves it. He has held several jobs in his short life.....Target for over a year (hated it, bitched non stop, don't know how he made it a year), Amazing Pizza Machine (bitched about management non-stop, made it 4 months), Arby's (BEST DAMN JOB HE EVER HAD, or so he says), Barnes & Noble (we don't even want to go there) and now $5 Bucks.
I like coffee but I am a regular coffee drinker.....black with a little bit o'cream. None of this nonfat, soy latte, no foam, 3 shots and a squirt. I like the cold drinks but a little goes a long way....a couple sips is enough, I could never finish a whole one. Tonight I went in to try a Caffe' Misto (sounds like meeeesto) or otherwise known as a Cafe' Au Lait/Cafe' Con Leche or otherwise DBA (doing business as) coffe and steamed milk. I ordered a Venti, Decaff, Nonfat Misto w/ 3 squirts o' carmel. It was heavenly. I truly enjoyed this. It wasn't overly sue-weet like the gas station cappucino's out of the vending machine that give you a case of the squirts the minute you finish your cup (The coffee Poser LOVES those btw). It had a touch of sweetness from the carmel syrup and a light coffee flavor. This will definately be on my list now.......next time I will try with cinnamon dolce syrup. IT WAS FRICKIN FREE also........which is always the best. FREE makes things taste sooooo much better.
I was also the lucky recipient of a Short, Decaf, Iced, Extra Caramel, Caramel Macchiato (A signature Starbucks® beverage. A creamy mix of vanilla and freshly steamed milk marked with intense Starbucks® espresso, topped with velvety foam and our own proprietary buttery caramel sauce.) It was good but I could only drink a few sips.
A sample of caramel brownie, some kind of white chocolate toffee cookie (it broke so they couldn't sell it) niether was anything to rave about.
I know this post is probably boring and I can't think of too much funny to say this evening. I gotta go and change a poopy diaper and head to the airport to pick up the Coffee Poser. Ciao for now!
Oooh and one more thing........the coffee at my son's store is roasted in YORK, PA....I dont' know why I find that fascinating but I do. They only have 4 roasting facilities currently for all the stores. I never even thought of them having a roasting facility. I guess they are building a new one in South Carolina.

Kiss My Ass Cardiologist, I'm Taking Another Lipitor and Making StickyGooeyCreamyChewy Florida Pie
Florida Pie
My friend over at Sticky, Gooey, Creamy, Chewy makes some pretty damn impressive desserts. Her photos rock the ass off of mine. She made this incredible pie a couple of weeks ago...Florida Pie. It is a key lime pie w/a homemade coconut cream base and then topped off with homemade whipped cream. Let's just say a scant over 3 cups of HEAVY CREAM in this pie. I had to make it. I didn't have any key limes so I just used regular. This pie is delicious and nutritious (not really but it does busta rhyme). Check out her website and the pie............This was my ghetto version!
About 1/2 cup of squozen limes...............phuck, the picture is sideways and I am too tired to counterclockwiseass it. If you do a yoga lizard pose it will look like it is upright, trust me!
Yes, it is a Pilsbury refrigerated pie crust beotch, bite me!
Coconut cream mixture.....just what it says Cream and Coconut, simmer til you just can't simma' no mo'
Pre-baked pie crust, coconut cream layer, lime filling and then bake about 12 minutes.
This was the best picture out of a sh*tty trio.
GOOD NIGHT IRENE!

PUCKER UP Sour Pusses.....We're Making Sweet Basil Lemonade
This recipe is adapted from Giada de Laurentiis' Italian Lemonade found here
Italian Lemonade Recipe
I squoze about 15 lemons, hehehehe I said squoze.
Picked some sweet italian basil from my own purrrsonal stash on the deck. Steep it in a simple syrup w/heat for about 5 minutes and then let cool. I then mix my squozed lemons, 4 cups of cold water, and the basil simple syrup that has been strained of the basil in a large pitcher.
Serve over ice. This is soooooo incredibly good you have NO idea.
The possibilities here are endless....this would be really good w/a splash of Limoncello or Citrus Vodka....just a *splash*, let's not get carried away. It would also probably be mucho yummy w/rosemary or cilantro or lavender in place of the basil. If you like sweet basil you have to try this. So simple and so refreshing. It is one of our fave's. I also made my simple syrup this time w/splenda instead of regular sugar.
oooooh One more thing also. I have also done a 1/2 & 1/2 or Arnold Palmer with this.....1/2 Basil Lemonade and 1/2 Tazo Passion Fruit Tea......soooooooooo tasty.
